As a lead penetration tester at Raxis, I take security seriously, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun as well. This year I designed the badge for OzSec 2024, Wichita Kansas’ annual cybersecurity conference. In the process, I learned how to create an electrical schematic, design a PCB, route traces, and select electrical components to make it functional. I then used tools like friends and GitHub Copilot to code the firmware. I had an awesome artist provide the visual design elements and some talented friends who helped out as well, and the entire experience was a lot of fun & learning at the same time.

It’s always exciting to get together with other folks in the cybersecurity community. The community is thriving with people who care strongly about helping people and companies stay secure.
